PJs

There is something really wonderful about being in your PJs at 3:00 in the afternoon.

Today is cloudy and cold. Kind of a dark feeling being as it is the dead of winter. I know everyone is talking about how this winter isn’t really a winter (at least in the continental U.S.) but it is still cold in New England and it did snow a little the other day. Also we haven’t even gained a full hour of sunshine yet so it is a cold, dark winter day today.

I had to work on the church newsletter today since I want to get it e-mailed tomorrow. I am waiting for a meeting that was postponed until tonight because we need to include information on Lent since that is starting in a few weeks. The meeting is for the Worship Committee, of which I am a member, and we will make our final decisions on how we will observe Lent this evening.

Since I don’t have to be dressed and go anywhere until this evening, I decided to hang out in my pajamas all day. It is wonderful to be working (albeit for free) at my computer and working just as hard as when I had a full time job and be in my pj’s and slippers.

Of course I do need to go and take a shower soon so my hair can dry before I go out. But that is ok. I still had the joy of a true casual day.

Actually…come to think of it…would anyone mind if I showed up at the meeting in my pajamas? I would put a robe on to complete the ensemble. Nah…I really can’t do that. Besides taking a shower will be a nice transition from “casual day” to “going out evening”.

Side Note: I never hang out in pajamas all day during the summer. This is due to the fact that it is bright and sunny out and I may want to go outside at some point to enjoy the nice weather. This hanging out in the clothes I wear to bed is strictly a winter activity. Just wanted to mention that.
