I was working on my computer today and I glanced down to the task bar and noticed the temperature:
Yup…that says 153 degrees. One hundred and fifty three degrees Fahrenheit. Wow….good thing the air conditioner was on!
I was curious what it would say if I clicked on it so I did:
Oh see…that’s not so bad. It is actually only 152.6 degrees. And the wind is blowing from the east, from over the nice cool ocean, at 7 knots.
I asked my brother, the computer expert, about it and he said that the temperature gauge set for my town was malfunctioning. He was right. About an hour later the temperature reset and it said 73 degrees, which was the correct temperature.
But, just to be safe, the whole time the temperature was set wrong, I stayed inside with the air conditioner on. After all, a temperature that high would probably burn someone to a crisp by just stepping outside. Why risk it???
I could go on a rampage about global warming but I won’t. It was just a computer glitch. Not a firm indicator that we are gradually destroying our environment by causing global warming.
Oops…that was a start of a rampage. Better stop before I really get started.
Have a safe cool day!!
