A few thoughts on a summer night:
– Had my hair re-reddened today. Actually it wasn’t too bad, color wise. I switched to that Aveeno shampoo that is supposed to make color last longer and apparently it works. I did notice that my roots had started becoming noticeable and my eyebrows were out of control. So today I had my hair reddened and trimmed and my eyebrows waxed. I feel much better now, thank you!
– Saw President Obama’s address to the nation last night and Speaker of the House Boehner’s response. I liked that the president outlined what he wanted to do and I didn’t like that Boehner only made vague references to a bill they were working on. But as far as my overall opinion of this whole debt crisis talk? I think they need to grow up! Stop squabbling like children and do the job that we elected them to do. After all it is just a temp job and we can make them unemployed by just not electing them again. We will remember this childish behavior when they run for office. And we will send them home and find more mature and reasonable people to lead this country. Stop playing games with American lives!
– We are having thunderstorms tonight. It was raining really hard a couple of hours ago. Lots of thunder and lightning as well. It looks like on radar that another storm will be coming through soon. I am hoping that it is enough rain that the water level will rise and we can continue boating. Actually I am also hoping it is raining enough to knock down the fire danger a tad. It isn’t too high right now but even a moderate fire danger level can lead to some idiot starting a fire. Next thing we know we have a forest fire in Maine. And Maine is mostly forest. Not a good situation. So pray for a large amount of rain! Then sunshine. So we can go boating. Because that is what summer is all about…at least for us.
I think that is all for a summer night. Hope everyone is enjoying the season as much as I am enjoying it!!
