Odd Sign

HELP! DID ANYONE SEE WHAT HAPPENED IN OUR YARD AT 6:05 AM ON 6/23/11?

That is the sign I saw in front of a house when I was driving home this afternoon. I decided to take a different way home from some errands I was running (I could have gone east and then north but instead decided to go north and than east), and saw the first part of the sign as I drove by. I kept going but realized my curiosity was getting the better of me so I turned around and drove back by the house. The sign was too long to read just driving by so I turned back around and slowed down to read it. I did have the sense to check in my rear view mirror to make sure no one was coming up behind me and, lucky for me, the road was clear.

This sign leads to all kinds of interesting questions:

What happened?

Did someone get hurt?

Was something stolen?

Did someone run their car across the lawn?

Why that specific time?

What happened before and after?

Is this a matter of life or death or simply a financial loss?

Does the insurance company need to know or the sheriff’s office?

Clearly, there is a story behind this sign. I am thinking someone needs to find out what this story is and report on it. I am thinking I may e-mail some news organizations to see if they want to investigate this curious sign and find out the story behind it.

Another odd thing I noticed is that there isn’t a phone number on the sign. So if you can answer the question of what happened at 6:05 am on June 23^rd in their yard, you have to knock on their door to tell them. And, if they are really pissed, they could punch you in the nose even if you had nothing to do with this incident that happened at 6:05 am on June 23^rd in their yard. After all, people have been known to be really ticked off at people who are simply delivering bad news.

I may have to drive past that house again in the next few days and see if that sign is still there. Maybe, if I am feeling really nervy and the people are in their yard, I will stop and ask them about the sign. If I do or if I ever hear the story behind the sign, I will be sure to share. And/or I will take a picture of it and post it. I think that is the least I can do for everyone.
