Decision Made

I made a decision this morning.  I canceled the bean supper.

The weather man on Channel 6 said that he was predicting three to six inches of snow starting after noon tomorrow and lasting until midnight.  Probably closer to three inches at the coast but that is because the coast is supposed to get sleet.  YUK!!

I e-mailed all the regular volunteers who have e-mail. I have heard back from most of them and am in the process of calling the ones who didn’t e-mail back and those volunteers who don’t have e-mail.

An older gentleman who volunteers called me, in a good natured way, a chicken for canceling.  I know he was kidding but I do feel rather chickeny for doing it.  We didn’t hold it last month because it fell on New Year’s Day.  Now we are not holding it because of the weather.  I am hoping and praying we can have it in March.  Although the way this winter is progressing, there are no guarantees the weather will be better a month from now.

I hope I don’t spend tomorrow regretting my decision although there isn’t anything I can do about it. What is done is done. Time to think about the next supper in March and pray for the snow to please end!!!
