Merry Christmas Eve, Everyone!!
The presents are wrapped and under the tree.
My sister is in the kitchen making figgy pudding (literally – soaked in brandy and everything).
The kids are getting ready for Christmas Eve service.
All is peaceful, all is bright!
Here’s a wish for this Christmas night:
May everyone come to realize that Jesus did not come to earth to make the world peaceful but to help people to have peace. Peace in their hearts, calmness in their souls, love for one and all, care and compassion for those less fortunate, looking out for everyone – no matter who they are, to be sure all are fed, warm, safe and comforted. Let’s not put conditions on this peace, this love, this joy…but treat everyone the same. No matter if they are rich or poor, young or old, strong or passive. Throughout this season, and through the coming year, let us stop and think before we act: is my reaction and behavior really how Jesus would be? Then try the best we can to emulate Him always.
That is my wish on this most holy of nights!
