Finished!

I finished the third book by Stieg Larsson, The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet’s Nest. Wow….just WOW! There was two parts towards the end of the book where I actually was so surprised with what was happening that I dropped the book. It was just so good!!

I have heard there is a fourth book that is partially finished. I hope that someday someone can finish it, being as Mr. Larsson is deceased. I would bet that book is just as good as the first three.

It makes me wonder, thinking about that fourth book and how it was never finished before Mr. Larsson died of a massive heart attack. It makes me wonder how many incredibly well-written books there are in the world that never get published because the person who wrote it never sent it in to a publisher. Or several publishers turned it down and the author gave up. If Mr. Larsson had just stuck these books on a shelf somewhere and never told anyone about them, I (and millions of other people) wouldn’t have had the joy of reading a series of fascinating books. I’m so glad that he has the sense to turn them in to a publisher, that the publisher had the sense to publish them and that they were distributed in the United States so I could buy them and read them.

I really recommend these three books, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet’s Nest. Read them, cherish them, discuss them with your friends. Books are always best when shared with fellow book lovers. Book lovers will appreciate the sense of satisfaction I had in finishing these books. And they also appreciate my anticipation for the next great book I read and how I can’t wait to get started.
