How busy are you?

So what were you doing before 8:45 this morning? At 7:00, I was at Lowes buying an air conditioner.  It is supposed to be really hot and muggy this weekend and I figured it is time to get an air conditioner installed.  I do own one already but it is about 10 years old and is really worn out.  It rattles loudly and the knobs are long gone.  Last summer I used it but it was a pain to have to use a pair of pliers to turn it on and off.  It is time for a new one.

Lucky for me Lowes isn’t busy at all at that time of the morning.  I had a bunch of people helping me so I didn’t have to lift the air conditioner into the cart or into my van.  I found out later in the day that I can lift it because I carried it from my van inside to the kitchen but why carry it if I don’t have to?

After Lowes, I went grocery shopping for the ingredients to make potato salad. After the success of last weekend’s potato salad, I was asked for the recipe.  Since I’m not sure of the exact measurements of ingredients, I decided to make another batch and measure things as I go along.

After the grocery shopping, I stopped by the house to eat a quick breakfast, get my lunch out of the fridge and head to work.  I realized at 8:45, that I had already done more than some people may do in a whole day and I still had a full day’s worth of work to do and had to do the power points for church that night.  Oh well.  This is my life.  Busy but that is better than bored!
