Today’s Thoughts (12/17/09)

A few thoughts on a very cold Thursday in December:

– I was just thinking the other day that I don’t see Hummers on the road anymore.  Every since the gas prices rose and have hovered around $2.60, people quit driving those big, heavy, gas guzzling vehicles.  Except this morning I saw one. Driven by a woman.  I guess she has the money to fill the thing.

– Went out to dinner with my brother last night to a nice restaurant called The Peppermill in Limerick, ME.  Good Veal Marsalla.  And the French Onion Soup was exceptional.  Well worth the drive out there.

– A gentleman at the table next to ours at the restaurant asked me if my hair was naturally red.  His daughter chided him for being nosy.  I just laughed and said, “It is now!”. I then explained that I get it done every six weeks or so.  He said it reminded him of his mother’s hair because she had auburn hair as well.  I need a clever response to that question.  Hmmm….nope, can’t think of anything clever.  If I do, I’ll post it.

– Speaking of getting my hair done, I’m getting my hair re-reddened tonight.  So it should be good and red for the holidays.

– A note on the Christmas cookies:  They went FAST!!  I brought dozens into work and they were gone in two days. And there are only six people working there!  Everyone loved them.  It was well worth the effort.  My younger brother and my aunt should be receiving their cookies tomorrow.
