Thoughts for Today (10/01/09)

Thoughts for today, the first day of October 2009:

–         It was chilly this morning. I’ve been reluctant to run the heat.  Not that I pay for it…it’s included in the rent.  But it’s the principle of the thing.  It’s barely fall since summer was less than two weeks ago.  It just seems too early to start cranking the heat. So I put socks on and walked through the apartment commenting to the cats how cold it is.  They didn’t care since they have fur coats.  They can be so snobby sometimes!

–         My first thought on Sarah Palins’ book and how rapidly she wrote it: I guess it took four months to decide if it should be a pop-up book or just a picture book.

–         Getting my hair done a week from now.  The usual six week dye job (red).  Debating about how to get it cut.  I am attempting to grow it really long. My sister’s hair is down to her waist.  I’ve worn mine about shoulder length or a little longer for years but now it’s a few inches short of half way down my back.  Part of me wants to bring it back up to shoulder length.  But I really want to see how long I can get it to grow.  I have one week to decide.  I’m leaning towards just getting it trimmed and letting it stay long.  I can always get it cut six weeks from now at the next dye job.  I know…all the interesting things happening in the world and I’m thinking about my hair.  Yeah…feel a little guilty about that

–         Back to thoughts about the fall…the leaves have started changing.  The next few weeks should be spectacular.  Now that I know how to post pictures to my blog, I’ll take some pictures of the colors and post them so everyone can see fall in New England.
