Today’s Thoughts (08/30/09)

Some thoughts on a Sunday evening:

– If you don’t read the comic Non Sequitur by Wiley, you should.  Just because it had this line in it today: “Well, thank you!! For that heaping cold plate of dream dashing, Fuzzbutt!”.  Fuzzbutt!!  LOL!!!  I think anytime you can use the term, fuzzbutt, you should.  It sounds bad but also cute!

– Watched the burial of Senator Kennedy last night.  Actually, “watched” is not quite the right word.  I “listened” to the burial.  For a little while.  Until I realized it wasn’t the same as seeing it so I changed the channel.  I think it was a little poor planning. I mean, did no one check when the sun was going to set? And bring some lights? Just a thought.

– Not a whole lot of people at church this weekend.  A friend and I were discussing it and we can’t figure out if it was because it’s summer, because of the votes at the church wide assembly (since it upset so many people) or if it is because our pastor was on vacation.  I think it was the last one.  Sort of “when the cat is away, the mouse will play”.
