Fireworks?

Today is February 11th, right? Not a holiday as far as I know.

Yet, as I am watching TV, fireworks start going off. Not on the TV. Outside about a quarter mile away.

Boom, boom, boom, crackle, crackle, boom!

Possible explanations:
– there was a wedding at the church near here and they are setting off the fireworks during the reception.

– someone found the fireworks in their garage and decided to set them off.

– today is a holiday that I just don’t know about.

I don’t know. But if I find out, I will let everyone know.

I guess I’ll just go stand in my doorway and watch them. 4th of July in February. Odd…
