Today’s Thoughts (11/20/10)

Here are some thoughts for the end of a Saturday:

• Went to see Morning Glory today which is a movie starring Diane Keaton and Harrison Ford (among other people). It was really good! Very funny in spots. Harrison Ford played a curmudgeon who was described, in the movie, as “the third worse person in the world” and he really pulled it off. There were parts where I really couldn’t stand the character and then thought to myself “but wait, that’s Harrison Ford! I can’t hate him!”. But he really played someone who it was easy to dislike. I recommend the movie. Well worth the price of admission.

• We are only having one church service this weekend. It is called The Gathering and will be at 10:00 tomorrow morning. I will write more about that after it happens. But since there is only one service, I only had to do one power point and I didn’t have to go to church today. I had the whole day to go shopping, see a movie and then go out to eat. I even saw another movie tonight on DVD. It was such a grand Saturday!

• The other movie I saw today was Iron Man. The first one. I never saw it in the theater and finally got around to watching it on DVD. It was also very good! Kept me riveted to the TV, which is a sign of a well done movie. I highly recommend it, if you haven’t seen it. I can’t wait to see Iron Man 2, which I happen to own on DVD. I forgot to decline a Director’s Selection on Columbia Movie House and they sent it to me. Oh well, if it is anything like the first, I’m sure I will love it. Of course, I do need to buy Iron Man so that I have both of them. Oh well, I am enjoying amassing a DVD collection, the way I enjoy amassing a book collection.

I think that is all for a Saturday night. I probably should toddle off to bed even though I can sleep in a little tomorrow.. Hope everyone’s weekend is going well!!
