Day Off

It has been a glorious day!!  Not just because the weather was nice but because I didn’t have to go anywhere all day.  My pastor agreed to run the power point for me at the Saturday service, no one wanted to go to the movies today and I didn’t need anything at the store.  I even did what little laundry I had to do last night so I wouldn’t have to step outside my apartment all day (laundry room is off the porch at the front apartments). Ok…to be totally accurate, I did step on the top step outside to pick up the newspaper this morning.  But it was only one foot and I went right back inside.  So that barely counts.

It isn’t very often that I get to have a day off like this.  A day to spend in my pajamas, doing what I want and never leaving the apartment.  Of course I did work on the power points for church and I did do the church newsletter.  But I was able to take my time and work at my own pace.  I even was able to watch two movies, one of which I had never seen (Tears of the Sun….great movie!).

I just wanted to share the joy that has been my day off.  A glorious day.  A day to be cherished.  Now it’s back to watching a show I DVR’d this week and then to bed.  Hope everyone else had a glorious day as well!
