I have been thinking about this since Sunday night.  Actually it has really been bugging me.  Does it go without saying that since this is my blog that the things posted on the blog are my opinion? I started to think about this after I talked to my aunt on Sunday night.  I know that […]

Pass it on…

My brother e-mailed this to me.  It was posted on Daily Kos by someone who had seen it on Rosie O’Donnell’s blog.  She said she had received it in a mass e-mail that said to pass it on.  So she did.  And Daily Kos did(,-Now-you-get-mad).  And I am too.  It’s a good follow-up to my […]

As I have mentioned in previous postings, I have two brothers and a sister. My younger brother is married and has two daughters and my younger sister is married and has one son and four daughters.  I am close to all of them and love them with all my heart.  They are, after all, my […]

Palm Sunday

Today is Palm Sunday.  For those who don’t know, Palm Sunday is the celebration of Jesus’ triumphant ride into Jerusalem before he was murdered.  Yeah, I know the proper term is “crucified” but, lets face it, he was murdered.  Tortured and killed in ways that makes water boarding look like a swim in a kiddy […]

Most Common

I believe that the most common conversation has to do with the weather.  The last few days have been pretty bad, weather wise.  Cold, rainy, rain mixed with snow, windy, yucky.  Just plain yucky.  Today is beautiful, in comparison.  It’s partly cloudy, warm (63 degrees) and the winds are calm.  A lovely spring day.

I […]

Blank Page

I’m sitting and racking my brain trying to think of something to post to this blog.  I know I have a policy of never letting more than two days go by without posting but I am drawing a blank.  Just staring at the empty screen.  Every idea that pops in my head I am rejecting […]

Today’s Thoughts (3/21/10)

Just a few thoughts at the end of the day:

–        Took the plastic off my windows yesterday.  As I mentioned in the previous post, it was 70 degrees outside.  With the plastic on my living room windows, the temperature really rises and it becomes like a green house.  So the plastic came off, storm […]

Spring came at 1:32 pm today! And it was 70 degrees in southern Maine!  Very unusual for the first day of spring.

In honor of the new season…an oldie but a goodie:

Spring has sprung,

Grass is riz,

Where last year’s careless driver is!

Burma Shave!!

(If you don’t know what Burma Shave is….go here: […]

Healthcare: Right not Privilege

It will be interesting to see what happens on Sunday with the health care reform bill.  Anyone who reads this blog must know where I stand on it but, in case you don’t, I’m in favor of it.  Anything that will help people get the healthcare that they deserve is ok with me.

Frankly I […]

St. Patrick’s Day!
